CONTINUITY PLANNING

Facts are facts. A majority of companies who suffer a disaster or major operational failure – without an established and tested continuity plan – are out of business within one year. The digital and physical threats facing businesses today continue to increase. Intentional acts, natural disasters, or supply-chain failures interrupt your organization, and defining the recovery processes to resume critical business operations is what will keep your operations moving.

Our business continuity planning services will help you do just that. We go above and beyond industry standards to ensure your plans are customized to meet your needs.

Analyzing the Impact of a Disruption

We will work with your organization and conduct a business impact analysis (BIA) to determine and evaluate the potential effects of an interruption to your critical operations. The research not only predicts the physical and financial consequences of an event – to include quantifying the impact of any disruption in terms of dollars, time, services, and staffing – it quickly reveals potential vulnerabilities. This allows us to help you develop strategies to minimize your particular risk.

Following the BIA, we will use the data to develop your business continuity plan (BCP). This plan will provide the policy and guidance to ensure that your organization can respond effectively to disruption and restore your critical operations as quickly as possible.

The primary objectives of this plan are to identify advanced arrangements and procedures that will enable your organization to:

  • Respond quickly to an emergency and ensure the continuous performance of your critical functions.
  • Protect essential facilities, equipment, records, and other assets.
  • Identify supervisory and other staff who might need to be relocated depending upon the emergency.
  • Facilitate effective decision-making to ensure the prompt restoration of operations.
  • Identify alternative courses of action to minimize and mitigate an interruption’s effects and shorten organizational response time.

We will write your BCP to address critical areas affecting the entire organization and identify individual department/unit/facility information and requirements.

Disaster Recovery Planning

What happens when your IT systems stop working? Developed in conjunction with a BCP, an effective Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) will identify your specific network system requirements and recovery protocols to minimize interruption time. Whether transmitting through internal network servers, cloud services, electronic data interchanges (EDI), or voice over internet protocol (VOIP) systems, data, and communications are critical to your business’s continued operations. The impact of data loss or corruption from hardware failure, human error, intrusion, or viruses could be substantial.
